Terms
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These are the simple rules for using TAPD. By using your card or your page, you agree to them.
The service
TAPD provides an NFC card and a profile page at tapd.cards. When someone taps your card, your page opens in their browser. We may improve, change or pause parts of the service, for example for maintenance.
Your account
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Give accurate details and keep your email up to date so we can reach you.
- If you lose your card, switch it off in your dashboard or contact us right away.
Your content
Your page, photos, text and links belong to you. You give us permission to store and show them so the service can work. You promise that you have the right to share what you upload.
What is not allowed
- Anything illegal, harmful, hateful, threatening or deceptive, including pretending to be someone else.
- Sexual content involving minors, or content that exploits people.
- Links to malware, phishing or scams.
- Content you do not have the rights to, such as other people’s music or pictures.
- Trying to break, overload or get into parts of the service that are not yours.
Reports and switching pages off
Visitors can report a page. If a page breaks these terms, we may hide it, switch its card off, or close the account. When we can, we will tell you why.
Cards
Each card is linked to one profile. A card that we switched off stays off until we switch it on again. Your card opens your tapd.cards address, so keep your account active for it to keep working.
Usernames and badges
A username can be used once. We may refuse or change names that are reserved, misleading or abusive. Badges such as Verified are given at our discretion and can be removed.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep TAPD running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Phones and cards can also behave differently. Please keep your own copy of anything important.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, TAPD is not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost business or lost contacts, that come from using or not being able to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Ending your account
You can stop using TAPD at any time and ask us to delete your account. We can close an account that breaks these terms.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If the change matters, we will tell customers by email. Questions? Write to [email protected].
